MSA versus AYP data
It is also important to note that the MSA data reported in this section for reading and mathematics is slightly different than the AYP data reported for the same school for several reasons. The MSA data for any school includes the results for all students at that school who took MSA. However, the AYP data for an elementary or middle school only includes the results for students who were enrolled in the school for a full academic year. Additional information is available in this tutorial.
