Read "One Little Can" and answer the following question.
Choose one of Rachel's character traits. Explain how you or someone you know has that same trait. Use details from the story in your explanation. Write your answer in your answer book.

The student identifies "caring/responsible" as Rachel's character traits and effectively uses text-relevant information to clarify how the traits of Rachel and "my mom" are similar. The student compares what "my mom" does, "she cleans my room…it taught me to keep my room cleaner all the time or more often," to what Rachel did: "showed Mr. Lee just a little can…could make Mr. Lee understand that she like her neighborhood clean."
