| Overview: Students will think about games and about how games are played.
They will start by working in groups to create new games using
a bag of objects. They will read about the diffusion of soccer
throughout the world. They will explore the need for a universal
set of rules as the sport grew to international status. Then the
children will apply the principle of making universal rules as
they play the games they invented and plan for a third grade tournament.
