| Overview: Based on their reading of A River Ran Wild, by Lynne Cherry, students will
demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between human activities and the
impact of those activities on a natural resource, the Nashua River. Students
examine changes in the river over time and work in cooperative groups to sequence
these changes. They participate in a town meeting and make a decision about
building a factory on the banks of the Nashua River.
