Health Specialists
Brian Griffith
Brian Griffith is the Maryland State Health Education Specialist. As State Specialist, Mr. Griffith oversees PreK-12 health education in Maryland. He coordinates the development of the K-12 health education standards, the state health education curriculum, provides technical assistance to local school systems, and assists with professional development for Maryland health education teachers. Mr. Griffith works with representatives from college and university health education departments to promote K-16 health education. He works with community and state groups advocating for the integration of the health education State Curriculum into public health projects. Mr. Griffith has been a health educator and administrator in Baltimore City Public Schools and Baltimore County Public Schools.
