Good science lessons:
- Are based on the indicators from the Maryland State Curriculum
- Follow the 5E lesson model structure
- Include writing to inform prompts
- Include reading to be informed and reading to perform a task stance questions (when a reading is included
- Integrate with Mathematics, English Language Arts, Social Studies, Health, Physical Education, the Fine Arts, etc. (when possible)
- Include constructed response questions within lesson
- Include selected responses within lesson when appropriate
- Include use of rubrics or scoring tool by students and teachers
