In addition to specific books on Marylands history and geography, I have included books that generically cover the time periods. Any resource that has information on the thirteen colonies and developing a new nation would be appropriate for the early time periods. It is almost impossible to find specific Maryland text appropriate for elementary students for last three identified time periods. I have included books that would represent life in Maryland during these periods.
