Topic C. Electricity and Magnetism |
Indicator 2. Investigate and provide evidence that electricity requires a closed loop in order to produce measurable effects. |
|
Objective b. Investigate and describe (orally or with diagrams) how to light a light bulb or sound a buzzer given a battery, wires, and light bulb or buzzer. |
Activity |
|---|
Teacher gives each group or pair of students some wire, a battery, and a light bulb and asks the students to put the materials together to light the bulb. Students investigate until they are able to make a circuit. Once the group makes the circuit, lighting the light bulb, the students draw a diagram of the simple circuit. The same activity can be done with a buzzer instead of a light bulb. |
