Question

The following questions may be asked to challenge students' thinking:

  • How many cubes long is this object? Show us how you know.
  • Can you find an object that is exactly five cubes long?
  • Whose object is the shortest/longest? How many cubes long is it?
  • Is anyone else's object the same length as yours? How many cubes long are they?
  • Can you find an object that is about 7 cubes long? How did you figure that out?
  • Can you find an object that is between 3 and 5 cubes long? How many cubes long is that? Explain how you know.
